Received a call...I don't pick up...always come here...so probably a telemarketer or scam. I'm not about to call a strange number back. If it's here I know it's a call I didn't want and if it's not people who know me know not to send anonymous calls because I won't answer unless Google shows it's in reference to something I am anticipating. The telephone used to be a convenience but now is mostly an unwanted intrusion.
So true on all parts. The Service Providers have become so greedy the customer's privacy is sacrificed for the few
extra dollars the SP brings in by selling the list of all cell numbers, residential and business numbers. You can fight
back though: when your numbers are all listed on the DNC, and these SPAM - SCAM calls continue be sure to note
every date, time and number from caller ID. When you have enough of these events, you could then listen to the
speel to try and obtain the company name, responsible party, company address, etc. so the report can be filed with
an attorney to go back against these people and companies abusing and flagrantly violating the law. So far I have
used my state laws, my call record and my attorney to receive $2,500 in penalties back from these callers. Hit 'em
where it hurts and you may be able to have a stay-cation or something.
