Got a call from this number last night at 8 PM. I answered and asked, "Do you know what time it is?" The young lady on the other end said, "We work until 9:00." I said, "We don't" and hung up. CID said Easter Seals, but we don't donate to anyone over the phone.
May be a legitimate charity, but there are so many scammers out there I thought I would share the message and perhaps someone else can clarify. Here's a transcription of the recorded phone message they left on my phone:
"Hello I'm calling on behalf of the Easter Seals pick up service from Central Telemarketing Services. We will be in your community soon collecting tax deductible items like clothing, furniture, or any household items. If you wish to donate, please call Easter Seals at 932-8348. That's 932-8348. Thank you."
Got a call 1st time today ... I have voice mail OFF on my phone. There is an legit charity at http://timelinelogistics.com/ But there are so many scammers out there they have essentially killed the goose now for legit callers of all colors.
I won't answer a ph# I do not recognize even if it's from my own area code without checking here 1st!

Same recorded message left on my home phone. This is probably a legitimate charity, but they are going to have to find a new way to contact possible donors. The "telemarketers" have poisoned the well.
