I didn’t answer and the caller didn’t leave a VM. My experience has pretty much shown that if the caller ID says “State”, USA it likely a spoofed caller ID. This one was NY, USA. It is now blocked. Irritating....I have likely dozens and dozens of blocked caller ID’s now thanks to spoofing technology. Does no good to stop them.
call comes from a hundred different numbers that caller id identifies as originating in several states

... when I do answer... I get a message about a security system....I hang up before getting anymore info....it is a pain..
the north carolina 828 # on your list showed up with a "customer service" in caller ID on 8-11-15 "customer service" is getting more usage lately (last 3-4 months)
also selling security systems..
got the "New York" caller ID with 212 # today 9-3-15 (couldn't get to the phone)
