I am 16 and live in Portland, Oregon and I received a call from this number, there was a man on the other end who wanted to talk to my parents. As far as I know (after an hour on google) the number either comes from a pay phone outside the Delta Grill (located on the corner of 9th ave and 48th st) or from inside the Delta Grill, or from a pay phone diagonally across the street by the Jolly Monk bar and grill, or from inside the apartment building adjacent to the bar. I have no Idea why somebody from New York would know me/ my parents/ my number. After a little more googling I don't think that the number comes from a pay phone. The closest number that I found was for a "Fountain Gallery", The only problem is that My search was limited to commercial numbers and not residential numbers (there are lots of apartments in that area) or cell numbers.
Person called regarding my child applying to take SAT test. Once I explained my child was not old enough for the test. They hung up. Leaving me feeling uneasy.
did not leave message but when i called back it says it is not a working number. search says it is a version landline (???). reading other posted msgs, i am inclined to think it has to with my 15 year old high school junior who recently took PSAT and did very well on it. we have received all sorts of "we can help your kid better get better test scores, scholarships, and into college" calls/letters/emails ever since. it's ridiculous that people are out to make a buck how ever they can.
