I think it's the Met Opera. I am a member of the opera guild. For a number of years they called me regularly on
their main number 212-362-6000 with their Met Opera. I guess so many people screened the calls (as I do) that they changed the ID to "unknown caller" or something like that. I guess that didn't work so they're trying this.
This was eerie. I do not answer unknown callers. A message was left, which I listened to after the call was over. Well, it started with kind of romantic music of a certain genre I would characterize as boring. I didn't get the lyrics, but seemed okay, but inappropriate. After maybe 10 seconds of that, a young man said "Hello." He waited for me to answer and when I didn't, he hung up. I'm blocking the number immediately. Gave me the creeps.
Caller ID says "Member Services." I think it has something to do with the Met. Opera. They are soliciting for donations and the "eerie" music xyz spoke of in the above post was actually from La Traviata.
