This was a call from "Jesse" with John Thomas (that's all he said, but I found more - it's John Thomas Financial out of New York.) He's called our office several times wanting to talk to the president of the company, but won't give any information why he's calling. Each time he's uses a different name, but the tactics are the same - pushy, smarmy, rude and evasive. His call will never reach the president!
Similar experience as the caller from Portland - called twice in one day trying to speak to the head of the company, but wouldn't leave a message or say what it was regarding. Seemed to be offended that I was asking!
My caller actually had the name of our president and asked for him by his first name, Rob. My response was, this is she. He then rudely said, I'm looking for Robert. Again, I said, this is she. He then said, I'm looking for Mr. XXX (which was the correct name) and again I said this is she. He said he must have a wrong number and hung up.
We've received this call MANY times, I've simply started responding that I am the president (even though I'm a she and he's a he) - it's funny to hear them squirm and get uncomfortable. It's just confuses solicitors and gets rid of them pretty quickly.
