They call once a week, claiming that they are calling from Gov. Patterson's Go Green initiative in regards to bottled water. Sounds like a scam, and will not stop calling.
Received a call from this number today. The person at the other end said they were working to check for compliance with the Go Green Program for Governor Patterson. They wanted to know if we had a water cooler. I explained that we buy bottled water by the gallon. He then wanted to know if we get a bill from the place where we get the water. I explained that we just go and buy a gallon of water at the local supermarket when we need it. He said "OK. Have a good day." and hung up. Like he wasn't interested in us because we do not have a water cooler. This is the second call we have gotten regarding this. I have not looked up to see if there is a Go Green Program so I don't know if this is a scam or not.
GOT THE SAME call....she slipped up and asked about our drinking water....and then when i pressed her i asked about 'what project' she was discussing (we are a company in the country and we do water wells for a living..!!!!!! ) she then asked about our water cooler...
(NOTE: the NY DEC takes care of water quality, etc..(along with the dept. of health in each county)
we tried to find the number to the NYS ATTY. GEN / Governor's Office... but all we got were recordings...
so, if someone has the time, these people are frauds...
BTW.. they are going off of NYS Corp. documents that are on file and public on the state's website!
Go a call from -212-304-9092 on August 17, there was silence followed by a short message, like good buy or something.
Using my cell, I called back but got the message number does not exist.
Sometimes I get a recorded "goodbye"sometimes someone who I can barely hear, telling me something about water...I have asked them to stop calling, they don't seem to understand,
Spoke with a guy with a very heavy accent. He said he was from Governor Patterson's Go Green Initiative and was making sure we were compliant with the ban on all bottled water. It took a while to understand what the heck he was saying. I told him we don't use bottled water and hung up on him. I sincerely hope this isn't how our tax dollars are being spent! Just hang up on them.
