Lady with a bit of an accent called... kind of hard to understand, but I think she said she was with a company called MPG. Asked if we accepted credit cards. We do. Then she immediately said we needed to upgrade to an EMV chip reader. I already have one. Undeterred, she then said, "That's OK... I want to give you better rates...", and then quoted a bunch of numbers. Then she wanted our merchant #. This all happened within about 20 seconds, so she was very efficient. But that's when I knew it was time to end the call.
