Got the call answered it said that I was approved for a government grant. However wanted me to verify info that government agencies should already have on file. If it was a government agency calling I'm pretty sure that they would be speaking clear American.
I got a call this morning from a company named McClennan Marsh. A man wanted to know if I was the one on the computer. I asked what was he talking about he must have a wrong number. He then asked if I owned a computer, I said "no", he hung up. I called back the number and got a recording that said the number belonged to McClennan March but was being used fraudulently and to call my telephone provider. No doubt some sort of scam.
These people are busy! Received 6:30AM phone call from 212-345-6565 asking about my computer - obvious foreign accent and background noise indicated call center. Who falls for this stuff? I responded with "it's 6:30 in the morning are you SERIOUS?" After some laughing and telling me to get up and drink some coffee, he hung up. Callback was recorded message about unauthorized use of marsh and mclennan phone number. If marsh and mclennan know about it, why hasn't it stopped?
