I've had 3 calls from them in the past 3 days. The message said I had won a New Years Dream Sweepstakes and must send in a refundable administrative fee to claim my prize. Of course, I have no intention of sending these scammers any money nor do I intend to call them. I don't understand why the PUC can't do something about these people.
I've had 3 calls in 2 days from these people. I didn't answer, but they left a pre-recorded message that I had won a New Years Dream sweepstakes and must send in a refundable administrative fee to claim my prize. Of course, I know it's a scam and have no intention of calling them back or sending them any money. The number I'm supposed call back is 212-359-1672. This same number showed up once on my caller ID. Other times, the number was a "1" or something like that. I don't understand why the Public Utilities Commission can't do something about these callers that either use a bogus number or bogus name.
