Some random guy claiming to be a 3rd party head hunter for jobs. Called me and asked for my social security number. I checked the website he said he got my resume for, I didn't see the job he was talking about.

Indian accent, "recruiter for AT&T", a Network Management position (I didn't try to find said position), asking for social security #. A "phishing" call. Been here MANY times. Gave him nothing. I couldn't even muster up the interest to waste his time....sad, eh?
Got this call today. He mentions a help desk job that is fairly close to where I live and even though I asked for eighteen an hour, it didn't even bother him. He just continued to try and get my b-date and social. This guy should be shot in the head. I told him to e-mail me more info on the job and that I wouldn't give him my numbers over the phone. How can we get this guy in trouble with law enforcement. UTCassociates.com - ashras is his name.
I sent an email to UTC requesting info on this recruiter. No response yet. ....Got a call back from a different number .917 415 9668. Sounds like the same guy but defended his position saying the questions where normal. This is a mobile number.
He said it was for Verizon. Very hard to understand their indian accents but I think it was the same guy. I will now investigate utcassociates .com to see if it is valid. Looks valid, but I wont give my SS to anyone other than the actual employer when I am filling out the tax forms.
