Got a call from this number asking for me by name,,sine I saw the 212 area code before hand figured it was a salesman . Told him "he's not in can I take a message". He didn't say a word,,,,just slamed the phone down.
I think another scam and will record all 212 calls from now on.
I received a call from this number. The caller asked for "Will". I said "can I take a message?". The caller asked "Is he not there?". When I said "no", the caller just hung up. This number showed up in my caller ID and also the last number redial service provided by the phone company. When I dialed the number I got a disconnect recording.
How is it that a disconnected number can show up in caller ID and with the telephone company's last number redial service??
I just got a call from that same phone number 212-360-2308 and he was very rude and aggressive asking for a person who works here.
I told him to hold but he right away hanged up. I also called and the phone is disconnected.
Same thing. They've called twice today for someone in our office, but both times did not leave a voicemail.
I think it's a fake "this number has been disconnected" message, or a spoofed number. In any event, they are hiding who they are, and that is never a good sign.
The caller hasn't been rude yet, but we'll see what happens when I ask who they are next time they call.
