I got a call at work from them. They were asking for the president of our company, but wouldn't say what it was in regards to. Said it was "personal business". Anyone our president works with personally, has his personal line.
I did some research and found out it's the "Joseph Stevens" company out of New York. Their website is www.josephstevens.com. On their site it states:
"Joseph Stevens & Company, Inc. is a full service Wall Street investment banking firm specializing in providing trading and investment strategies for high net-worth individuals, professional investors, hedge funds, money mangers and institutional investors."
Looks like they have telemarketers trying to get people to invest through them.
Rec'd call from Mike Demetree asking for principals of our firm by name. Astute receptionist figured out it was a rude solicitor and forwarded to me the Office manager. Demtree hung up on me when I told him who I was. I located his number and called Demetree back and spoke with him. I aksed him to stop calling and he said "We'll see". Nice guy! I sent email to cust service but they are probably getting a good laugh out of it. Oh well. I feel better.
