When these guys call you, PLEASE take the time to submit a complaint at http://donotcall.gov. This is a blatant scam, and they're looking to empty your grandparents' bank account. There is an open investigation -- these are not your typical debt collector spammers. Proceed with caution if you choose to bait them.
Also, here's more relevant info to include in your complaint. These companies usually just change numbers when too many complaints pile up, but it looks like they are indeed being watched by authorities. We just want all these complaints filed under the same folder, regardless of where they make it look like the call is originating from.

Got a call from 212-369-6573. Same complaint as below, some spammy recorded message along the lines of "This is Heather calling about your credit, it is urgent that you contact us regarding lowering your monthly interest rate to 6.9%, this is your last notice, press '1' to contact a customer service representative or press '2' to remove yourself from our database".
I pressed '2'.
Just reversed looked up the number, and it says it is a registered land line through verizon registered to a "Felix Martinez".
Tried calling the number back - of course it's busy...
This is probably the 11th spammy, recorded call that I've gotten this month.
Total Wire Fraud Number: 212-369-6573 called us claiming they were from Microsoft and would help us install some software but we had to remove some viruses from our computer first. It is a scam. We work in the computer industry and everything they said was either a total lie or based on half-truths but were incorrect anyways. We let them ramble on and on for a little while before telling them to shut up and stop scamming people. Avoid this New York number at all costs! That are totally 100% bullcrap and will steal your information if you do what they ask you to do.
