There should be a way to block these calls, but with Cox Communication all I get is platitudes and incorrect information on what to do, wrong number to call.
I have tried ignoring the calls, now I get at least one call per day and they come from NY, NJ, CA,Fl,GA, WA and all of them say that they are directory assistance.
I have been getting these calls for about a week now. I talked to Comcast, my provider and all they suggest is to block the number. Yeah right, the calls com from different area codes and numbers. Some of my callers are saying they are calling from Microsoft. I have reported this to Microsoft and they are investigating it further and told me they have been receiving other calls. Good luck, they are relentless with the calling.
