Got a call from this number and a guy with an Indian accent insisted that my computer was infected. I told him my computer was fine and I didn't take it in for repairs, but he tried to assure me that my computer was infected. I told him to take me off of his call list.
That call was at 3:30PM, but going through my call log there was also calls at 11:17AM, 10:53AM, and calls from prior days.
This was the first of two calls from the same operation. The first came from (212)777-8394. The second came six minutes later from (239)676-4132.
Received a call at 12:15 on 11 April 2016 from (212)777-8394. Caller was a male with a very heavy Arabic accent. I could barely make out what he was saying, but eventually, his speech became clearer. He said that he was from Microsoft and was alerting me that their servers had detected malicious software activity affecting my machine. He asked me to turn on my computer. I told him it was already on. He then asked me or told me something, but again, his accent was so heavy that I could not make out what he was saying. He told me to hold on and got someone else to pick up the call. After a delay of a minute or slightly less, someone else came on. He started with the same instruction to turn on my computer. I reiterated that it was already on. The line went silent. The call was dropped or terminated.
At 12:21, the second representative called back from (239)676-4132. He began again with the instructions to turn on the machine. I told him again that it was already on. Then he started asking me whether something unintelligible was visible in the bottom left corner of my screen. I kept asking him what he was saying. about a minute or so into the call, the line went silent. This call had been either terminated or dropped.
Since they represented themselves as Microsoft representatives, I submitted a report to Microsft, using the "Support Scam" link on their "Contact Us" page.

Hard to listen to heavy accent human voice (unable to determine caller's gender) announcing that he/she is calling about my computer... Immediately detected as fraud attempt, by the muffled voice with heavy artificial background ambient noise... Sounded heavy Caribbean-African tone of voice... and diction... BE ALERT..! Report all calls from this number...
