scam caller using fake number (212-810-7411 claiming to represent "Grand Celebration Cruises"). and their call starts off with a scam: because you've stayed at one of our resorts! yea, right!!
we have been able to block robo calls & spoofed calls from our home number which prevents these calls altogether. but now persons are swarming mobile phones with no end in sight as long as mobile companies don't take action to prevent spoofed and robocalls. the only advice from law enforcement: don't answer the call, but not answering only confirms via voicemail that the phone number being dialed IS VALID.
sooooo here's what we know: these callers are from the US as evident by accents from south, midwest and even New England area. so we have voice recorder app installed on mobiles and set to record ALL incoming calls automatically. the file is saved locally and easily uploadable to Google Drive immediately after call. we now have their voices, and someone HAS to recognize this person's voice. even intro voice is someone's recorded into. male scammer claims his name is "Wesley", which I asked. but I should have asked for the URL info to see who they're either pretending to be associated with or what URL is part of the scam.
here's the Google Drive link to the call's audio - .mp3 https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6su9jextVGRWmNxQlVqMnZLNUE and .amr version https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6su9jextVGRZ0NiWGo4c0s5aHM.
I suggest you get the "Call recorder" app (that's the exact name) via mobile PlayStore and use it if your mobile phone is being overtaken by scammers calling more than family. one thing to note: if you're in your car, and connected to car via Bluetooth, car interferes with recording other party, so simply turn off your radio before answering unknown/fake caller. and HAVE FUN WITH IT -- give them fake names, city, etc. and then advise them the call is being recorded and why when you're asked for credit card or banking information!!
and good luck, as we're on our own now with these tele-terrorists!
