called back to back in 2 minutes at 6:43 pm on xmas eve to tell me i have critical errors on my windows 10 computer that i need to have tech support.they said they were from microsoft. they were foreign too.
Worse than that. They're scammers/fraudsters. They claim to check your computer, and then they erase everything on your computer. A co-worker fell for their scam and he gave me his computer to restore after whoever owns THIS phone number erased everything.
A fake "Microsoft Support Agent" with an Indian accent. When I asked him who he worked for, what he wanted me to do, why I should believe anything he says, etc, he switched to jumbled fast talking without any real answers. He seemed like he has a lot of practice and/or training in dodging questions and moving a conversation back to his favored territory - "You have errors in Windows, do what I say and I'll fix it." It has to be fraud.
