Thank you, Suzanne! I've been receiving calls from these exact numbers a LOT recently. My Caller ID also reads ASPCA but when I called their corporate office, they said that I had been taken off of their call out list and these calls are NOT from them. I have no idea who could be using their name. When I answer the phone, of course, there's no one there. The calls are made from some kind of automatic calling system that dials more than one number at a time. If you're not the first one to answer, all you get is dead air!! You can't even ask who they are or why they keep calling. I'm so sick of it!!! I've been reporting every call to the National Do Not Call Registry at 1-888-382-1222. I hope it helps...but I doubt it. I'm getting almost a call a day. Thanks for the sites...I will surely take what action I can to stop these annoying calls from coming. Thanks again!!!
It is the ASPCA, shows as such on all Caller ID's . Have donated in the past, although I do not recall giving them permission to call my house several times a day, let alone at all hours from dawn until past dinner! So far they have called from 212-601-9591, 212-601-9598, 212-601-9582, and this new one late last night, 212-897-0545. No message left, typical solicitation tactics, Calling main ASPCA (http://www.aspca.org/about-us/contact-us.html) to file a complaint as well as with the FCC. Agree with other poster about ASCPA in caller ID. However, we receive calls with no message left from this number very frequently. We've also donated to them in the past which perhaps, unlike the other poster would prefer to believe, may give them permission to "follow up". I'd prefer they didn't which is why I will also file a complaint.
