We received the same call at 7:55 in the morning. This was our first clue...it's illegal in America to do any telemarketing before 8 in the morning and after 9 at night. Any legitimate business or collection company would know this. My husband laughed at them and gave them a hard time, he set the phone down and walked away with them still on the phone, hoping to make their phone bill higher. They finally got the idea about 5 minutes later and hung up, after asking my husband why he was laughing at him.
I began receiving calls today and they wanted to call back when I mentioned I thought it was a scam.
They did call back / same thing. Indian sounding woman and the indian sounding guy called. He called back and I informed him I knew this was a scam and he began screaming.
I hung up.
Got the same call this morning. The news has been reporting about this scam. It's a phishing scam, looking for your info. Let this be a warning to everyone who searches this number!
