Received call today "Laura Lopez", from SouthWest Airlines....and was told I qualified to earn 2 free tickets to fly anywhere SouthWest Airlines flys. All I had to do is go and visit SouthWest AirLines 'New' reservation center and 'celebrate' with them for about an hour. After the 'celebration' I would be given 2 free tickets. Was told the location was: 7751 The City Drive, Orange, CA. I thought is was odd that an airline would be opening up a new retail 'reservation center', when they all are trying to cut costs and do everything online....when I inquired, she just ignored me and kept trying to set an appointment for later this week....only after she promised to send me some email (I gave her a disposable email address). When I could not commit to anything, she said she would call back...oh boy. Seemed very pushy, asking questions about by 'partner' whether wife or g/f, her age, etc....Not calling from Los Angeles (213), broken english..Sounded like an overseas boiler room operation with hundreds of people in the background also making unsolicited calls...
6:19PM UPDATE:
They called back 10 minutes later (same exact person I think), they seem to be farming fax numbers and/or email addresses, cut the call short when i said I was SINGLE, UNMARRIED with NO Girlfriend..and had no fax or email address. I think there system has a glitch, re-calling same numbers shortly afterwards. She knew she was calling a cell phone number, so they bought this data from somewhere without names or addresses. Blocked my number and called them back, never rang...just said.."This number cannot except messages" and hung up the line.
I also got a call from them today 12/4/13. Told them this was a cell phone and I was on the don't call registry for telemarketing, and started in on her sales pitch anyways, I did hear someone about Southwest Airlines and ended the call there.
I also got a call from this # the same day TA did but @ 9pm got a vm sounded like a fan in the background then they called right back and when I answered they Hung up???
