Called and said that they were verifying my business for Google Pages. I thought they were verifying my location for Google Places, as I have recently registered my business for this. The guy was so disorganized on the phone and could not give me any information about my business to verify that I started asking him questions. He passed me along to someone else who said 'so you want to do some marketing with us'. I said no, and hung up. These people are not from Google.
Same thing happened to me. The second guy was very disorganized but I got their call back number

They Caller ID said "CALIFORNIA" They called and wanted to speak to the owner of the business. I asked him "Which owner? whats his name?" The guy said he didn't know so I said "we have 2 owners here which one do you want to talk to" He said he had limited info about the business but he'd like to speak with any of the owners. I told him "no" and hung up. We only have 1 business owner here. I just love messing these guys.
This guy says I spoke with Jordan, one of his associates about a month ago, concerning getting my business listed. Never spoke to anyone by that name. Told him that I wasn't interested and hung up.
