Hello, A scam company just tried to hack into my computer last night by having them install software that can operate my computer. they say they are Global Soft from India, the only Microsoft authorized company to contact people and make necessary repairs to your computer that are sending them error messages. they say if you do not let them fix it your computer will crash. Number 1-213-221-1050 name Steve Mactavish. when you call this number they answer but it is in India not Los Angeles, All of them have stupid American sounding names also Like Steve Mactavish with a heavy Indian or Pakistanish accent.. please be advised.
I also got a call from the same number on 11-12-12. I fell for their spiel and paid $260.00 for 2 years support. I have since called Microsoft and they DO NOT OUTSOURCE their information. I have filed a complaint with FTC, called my credit card company and requested them to get a refund for my charge.
Yesterday around 2:00 pm I got another call from a different number 999-910-0157 and he had the same spiel as though they had never called me before. I told him I want a refund as it is a scam. He said someone would call me back in 5 minutes with my refund. I have never received the call as of today.
I sure hope no one will fall for their scam like I did.
