Okay guys. This article explains it all. No matter what you do, it's just going to get worse. Do you sense a theme to everyone's problems here? Internet Phone.
These 'people' get your number and call the same way they get your email address and fill your junk folder. Ever open a junk email and find it completely blank? (Answering a call and there's no one there..)
Or try blocking the sender and you get the same crap from another fake address? (Blocking one fake phone number will lead to calls from a new one.)
Worst of all, ever try actually opening a junk email and clicking on the "unsubscribe my email address" link only to find ten new junk senders have replaced the one you got rid of? (What do you think is happening when you actually CALL BACK one of those bogus numbers?)
Whether you're using Comcast, Verizon, Qwest, Vonage, Time Warner, or anything else...if it uses an Internet connection, they are going to keep on coming. Report them all you want. They don't have to abide by the Do Not Call rules. They're not CALLING, they're spamming. Welcome to the 21st Century.
Received two calls from this number today; no message left. Not the first time a dodgy caller with an Indo accent offering every supplement under the sun has called. Best you can do is just not answer in my opinion. [***].
