Interesting conspiracy theory, but no.
Scammers and stupid telemarketers have been around long before Caller ID was available to regular people. Call blocking devices won't work without Caller ID Numbers (CNUM).
How old are you, by the way?
In 1990, I paid $120.00 for a dual-cassette answering machine.
Those devices were more expensive in the years prior to that.
The scammers don't want call blockers infringing on their attempts to rip people off.
A dual-cassette answering machine.... Sounds interesting...lol I wasn't alive in 1990.
I know these calls are from criminals that are most likely over seas calling from their computers with spoofed numbers.
I'll never fall for their scam and hope no one else does either. Good luck all.
Dinner hour annoyance. To H**L with these scammers. BLOCKED!!!!! I NEVER EVER ANSWER THE PHONE IF I DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER. The phone just rang and no message was left.
Same ol' scam, different day. Blocked the a$$holes- again. Actually I went the whole day yesterday without one scam call. Miracles never cease. The call blocker is taking it's toll on their black little hearts... :)
