Also receieved this spam email just after midnight: "You qualify for a Free $1000 Visa Gift Card. Claim your reward now at www.greatfreegift.com". I filed a complaint with the FCC, but not sure if anything will come of it, since the text it is not advertising a product or service (it does advertise the website, however), and does not appear to be sent from an automated telephone dialing device.
Received spam text message "You qualify for a Free $1000 Visa Gift Card. Claim your reward now at www.greatfreegift.com" on two different cell phones. The cell phone numbers are similar in that they are 49 numbers apart with the higher phone number receiving the text after the other phone. From this, it appears that the text messages are being auto-dialed and that the computer is just sending the text number-by-number.
