I just received an identical call. Same person, phone number, etc. The caller ID  read Croushore Hayes 215-855-3647. He tried to intimidate me into believing I had many hackers on my ip address. I did not give him access to my computer or any other information. He was very persistent and threatening that my computer would be in "big trouble" if I didn't do what he said. I asked what the end result would be to fix the problem...ultimately you would have to buy an  "anti-hacking" file for $149. When I tried the phone number he gave me he picked up right awry without me dialling the extension. I hung up and he called me right back, going on and on about why I needed to follow his advice. I told him to stop harassing me and hung up.

This number called 4 times today over a thirty minute time frame. First two times we let the machine get it but no message was left. I answered the third time. Then they called the 4th time but no one said anything. Funny thing is he said our computer was infected and we don't even have a computer anymore because it really did break and we haven't bought a new one. Obviously they are lying. Man has a strong accent and its hard to understand him. Caller id said Croushore Hayes.

In my case I contacted them as I was having a problem and two other groups couldn't fix it. All companies wanted money of various amounts.  They have continued to call my house most the times I would not answer as I didn't know the caller #. But this last time they said they were giving me a refund I questioned  at length what was going on and would I be protected, after much back and forth I gave in and we proceeded to do the paperwork to make this happen.  Shortly after all this I received a call from Western Union asking if I had authorized a transfer of $300 to Panama. No was my answer. I was getting call from the service insisting to let Western Union to transfer monies. After  many calls from WU I called my cards services only to find out many attempts were made to hack my accounts. I cancelled my cards and inform the so called tech person (Mark) to go run up a rope. These calls were coming from all over the country. They are implying they represent Dell
Without a doubt they are scamming and need to be stopped.

They just called me. Man with Indian accent and with broken english, said he was with technical support. TOTAL scam criminal. It was so obvious, I played along (was a bit bored).

He tried to get me install some hacking tools on my computer. :) Couldn't believe the gall of this outfit. No shame. I'm terribly disappointed that they are successul in duping innocent people, since it's so incredibly obvious they are criminals.

Anyways, I got him to tell me his name 'George' and told him I had to call him back and needed his phone number. He scoffed, but I persisted. I asked to speak to his supervisor - and he did! A minute later a man with a deep voice (pretty sure it was George - ha!) got on the line and I told him that George was very helpful, but I needed to call him back. He gave me the phone number 213-260-2279. I told him I didn't recognize the area code and he said Los Angeles. I tried to get the name of the company but he just kept mumbling something unintelligible.

Well, I said goodbye and hopped on here.

My recommendation for anyone with the time and resources - track down and prosecute these criminals.
