i just received the same call at my office. so did my coworkers. this is a total scam. they even cursed on the phone. they have zero information. Should be fined for using the name US Treasury when answering the phone as that is illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They left a voice message claiming I needed to call them back to avoid having my case sent to federal court. I knew it must be a scam because any official notice would have come by mail. But still it was disturbing. I blocked the number on my phone service.
Numerous threatening calls made to my 83 year old mother. Who gets very upset and confused over these phone calls I have tried to get her on the Do Not Call list but it never works please try and fix this.
phoned back on 213 261 7610 - got a real person who said they were the USA treasury but wouldn't give a name, when I pressed for their location he said he doesn't talk to people who don't pay their taxes, when I pressed for info they just hung up. I get the feeling they are routing calls from Asia. We need to get this stopped!
