My caller ID said Sales Call. I was surprised to see how up front they were. When the woman said, "how are you today?" I just said, "I'm fine, thanks for asking. Have a good day." Then I hung up. ALL calls from L.A. like area codes 213, 323, 310 and 818 are telemarketers at least calling my house. I've heard that a lot of the construction calls are from Triangle Construction, a very shoddy general contractor.
CID read V60812481400032...Phone number is an L.A. area code (213) 263-0373. l picked up on 2nd ring and said "Hello." Dead silence for about 4 seconds, then recorded female voice says "Goodbye" and hangs up on me. VOIP autodialed call with no call center representative connected on other end. Other posters reported this # as "Energy Savings," which generally means a home contractor "Bait and Switch" scammer. I tested one of these players out last year to see what they are about. Had a guy from a large, well-known contracting company come out to give me a quote on solar, and he spent literally SIX HOURS, until 10 pm, trying to hard-sell me and my husband on multiple products (solar, windows, texcoating, etc.) and wouldn't leave. Started with a lengthy schpeel about the HERO program (which is a scam) with a handbook and video, then went on to give a ridiculously high price quote for solar (about 10X what it should normally cost) that would be "Zero out of pocket", and "Paid for once a year on your property taxes", and "Transferrable to the next owner", which is all extremely misleading and deceptive. It is a more than $30,000 LOAN, attached to your property taxes, the bulk which you are required to pay off in the first 5 years. If you don't pay this loan off on time, they attach a lein on your house and can foreclose on you and take your house. New owners would only inherit it IF THEY ACCEPT IT, otherwise, it's ALL on YOU to pay it off. Rep kept calling back to his "Supervisor" to "lower" the prices on products, with the "super-duper-just-for-you-shhhh-don't-tell-your-neighbors-or-friends" discounted prices that were up to 50% lower than the original quote, and this went on for hours. The eventual price was still $1000's higher than my neighbor around the corner quoted for me. Don't answer it and block it if you are able. It's a nuisance call.
