I was called twice in a row with no voice message. Strange number V22210475001233 showed on my cell phone. I did not answer and will block 1-213-266-9256 Los Angeles, CA
Called and left no message. Caller-ID started with a "V" and then a bunch of numbers. That means it's an auto-dialer or using an internet proxy of some sort. Ignore.
This scammer knew my name and told me he was calling about the Policeman's Ball he was accepting donations. Stop this BS madness these telemarketers pay crooks and fools to call numbers all day hopeing to get some sucker give them money
Overall, it's nearly impossible stopping, BUT you can do your part by shutting them down. If you're able to do it, let your phone ring clear through on unknown numbers. If they're unable to get either an automatic, or manual answer, they may tire of calling that number and give up on it. As long as they get something, they'll think there's a reason to call. If nobody's playing, they're unable to do anything.
