It is a scam. They now call from other numbers like 972-908-9600 and use vague language about an investigation and they do not know your name. They are a phishing scam trying to get access to personal information. A self identified Hubert J. Levy (unlikely his real name) says he is sorry he missed you. Give them nothing and tell them you have traced their call and authorities are on the way to arrest them.
