Very noisy line, strong accent, claimed to be with "Department of Legal Affairs, Bureau of Treasury" - advised me call back with lawyer present. Yeah, I'll get right on that.
Same message in regards to a class action lawsuit against my husband from the Dept. of Treasury.....from 213-283-6324 I told them the IRS does not make phone calls and if U have a problem....to send us paper work!! and hung up
Didn't answer at first but kept calling until I answered. Caller had strong accent and said he was from the Dept of Legal Affairs. I told him there no such thing. Its obviously a scam. I told him to go f**k himself and hung up. Hasn't called again. Going to block the number.
Received a call; said I need to call Alan Green at 213-283-6324. Said a legal action was intiated against my sister from the US Dept Treasury. I told him she was dead and he hung up the phone like a bat out of hell.

Tell me i owe taxes and that im being arrested in an hour for failure to pay taxes. I started laughing which only agged this loser on to point of vulgar language. I kept on laughing. He goes why is this so funny. I said if I owe taxes then why year after year do i get federal refunds and that the IRS does not call tax payers, they send mail and certified letters and that they speak english.
