"Accented person left message saying "Hi this message is intended to contact you my name is Dennis, gray, and I'm calling regarding an enforcement action executed by the us treasury intending you're serious attention ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to a white initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand Jury for a federal criminal offense my number is 213 286 6006. I'll repeat 213-286-6000 6 I'd wife you to cooperate with us and help us to help you thank you". I called back several times from blocked number and every time a different man or woman always with a foreign accent answered by saying U.S. Treasury...they should all be arrested for impersonating government officials"
I just received the same message. Threatened warrant for arrest due to federal offense. Sounded like an Indian accent. I like the earlier post from the person who answered "FBI Internet Crimes Unit" - I'll use that if they call again!
This should be an easy fix--Law Enforcement has to get together with the local phone Co. security (use to be Pacific Telis) just has to pull either the working address, and if it's only a frame appearance (just a cable pair) then request the billing address. Either way they should have enough for harassing phone calls.
Got the same call from a Dennis Grey.....same BS about IRS, other government agencies. I tried to call Windstream the company that provides this jerk the phone and its impossible to reach customer service........
