I got a call from a Pakistan broken English "Microsoft Tech" that said my computer is sending negative data to an unknown source and that it needs assistance otherwise your computer will be destroyed. I became concerned and asked a bunch of questions just to confirm if this was real. He then literally was able to log on my pc by me applying simple commands while on the phone it was like windows key + r it would bring up the "Run" window and i typed what they told me and he started to monitor by PC right before my eyes! I then got into an argument with this agent on the phone cursing this guy out while he had the nerve to actually threaten me back on the phone and said my pc is "[***]" now. I was then transferred to a "Manager" he spoke with me and tried to throw another sales pitch about my license with my windows is out of date and repeating please don't turn your pc off or there is nothing we can do.. So I;m literally about to hit up 7 Eleven for this "green card" (money that can't be traced) transaction [***]. i spoke with my friend that's a tech himself in regards to this he said they cannot destroy your computer unless they are remotely connected to it from the internet. so i pulled the plug and now i am forced to change all my information because of this [***]. a lesson to be learned! just wanted to inform you all so you don't go through this [***] as well!
