Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Got the same bogus caller- ME or Indian male heavy accent, Got the wife upset. I called the phone company (Century Link) - they offer no help whatsoever, not even who the number belongs to. Called the number itself - has been disconnected or is no longer in service.
A guy from eastern country like India Pakistan or Bangladesh and could be even from Fiji; called from this number and said he is from Internal Revenue Services. Can speak fluently in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. Certainly a scam. I called back from other phone and the same guy picked up the phone and introduced himself as Internal Revenue Services. Major scamster. The authorities need to do the needful to put such people behind bars as they scare people to be the extent that some may fall prey to their scheme.
