I received the same disturbing call today. They mention that they are an "officer of the Federal Goverment and a warrant was going to be issued for me". Apparently, I was given a payday loan in May 2011 and when they tried to get their money back, it was returned. Funny thing is....I didn't even have this checking account in May. I printed out a bank statement just to prove to them that no such deposit of $300 was ever given to me and the man begin yelling at me. I was threated that I was going to jail if I did'nt comply. He then went on saying if I pay today with a credit card, I would not have to appear in court. After arguing with this non-English speaking person, I called the police and reported them. This is a complete scam and I'm sure many people out there fall for it, but I'm not one of them!!!
I keep receiving calls from them also. Warrant will be issued blah blah blah. They go as far as to start cussing me. best thing to do is hang up. they keep calling but I have that IGNORE button on my phone LOL.
These are arab people who are scammers. Do not give in. If they contacted you then most likely they have everything about you. Contact the poice, credit bureau and change your account numbers. They have been harrassing me and started by calling them selfs united nations legal dept. And now they are u.s.investigators lol do not fall for these quaks!
I ave been getting numerous amounts of unwanted phone calls from a man name Jason Williams from a lawyers office stating that I owed them money which is untrure. They had all my information I have changed all of my accounts they keep calling my phone daily back to back. Stating that if I dont pay them they will send me to jail I have made complaints to the proper authorities people please know that this is a SCAM A BIG SCAM. These are Arabs there using american name they speak hardly any english and when they do there very rude. Ignore all these calls please protect yourself from this times are to hard for Arabs to be using this method to support there country. This should be against the law where is America when we need them this is unfair acts and practices against people that work hard for there money.
I was harrassed today in the same manner. Could barely understand them, they speak very broken English. They have the last 4 of my social, my bank account and know what bank I use. Scares me to think they have all this information!!! Rude, hateful, saying I am being sued for money placed in my account and my failure to pay.....
