This is an autodialer - the caller ID at my office came up as McBlue Telecom, and it was a recorded message that says to update your google listing you should press 1, to remove your name from the calling list, press 2. It will go on and on for as long as you stay on the line. I stayed on long enough to write down the phone number. DO NOT press a button. All that does is let them know that they reached an active line, and they will continue to call even more. I have been an administrative assistant for more almost 20 years. I have learned little tricks like this!
I keep getting repeated calls from this number being forwarded to my work line from our former administrative assistant. She did have debt problems, but when I pick up to tell them to stop harrassing me at work, there is no one on the other line. All I get is silence... and I put them on hold for a few minutes. I tried pressing 0 for the operator without any luck. Quit calling my work line!
We've been getting calls from these people for over a year and at first we thought they we're real collectors and ended up getting almost 1800 dollars from us before we figured it out. For awhile they stopped calling us but now they have started again. We need help getting them to stop before they cost us our jobs.
Thanks for the info this is not someone I need to speak with. I'm out of the country so do not want to be racking up international phone charges for this junk!
