This IS NOT Google. This is one of those Google scammers using the NAME of Google to rip off small businesses.
They want to "validate" your google profile and then they want to sell you on their services for several hundred bucks. A TOTAL waste of money. This is NOT a legitimate business - they do not have a working call back number, they do not state their name or ANY company info in their call (against TSR rules) and their 'opt-out' does NOT work. They are also calling numbers that are ON the Do Not Call List in violation of the TSR rules there,too. Just typical telemarketing scum.
Also, this number when called back goes to the same voicemail service that a lot of these mortgage modification scammers use. ("...if you're not interested in taking advantage of our ~special~ promotion, please press one now...")
This is an illegal ROBO-CALL, if you are on the Do Not Call List, please report every one that you get.
Yes...happened to me. They were just trying to sell be a load of goods. I asked if they were google and they said, "no, but we are a certified dealer for google." What does this mean? Anyway, I decided to 86 the call. This is truly a scam and I feel like notifiying google.
I never answer calls on my cell that I do not recognize. If everybody did this, maybe they would stop bothering us. These callers need to get a real job.
