FHA.com is a shill to hook you up with predatory marketers. I too effed up and gave up my number. Instead of receiving info about FHA loan programs, I get around 2 dozen calls and at least 1 email a day from "Prime Financial". They want to sell you some bogus, over-priced credit repair service which, if not an outright scam, is at least an over-priced service to do what you could easily do yourself. Asking not to call does not help. In fact, I had one person get combative with me when asked not to call. I guess their company philosophy is to call, call, call. Never take no for an answer.
Since yesterday, I've gotten 8 calls. The first call today was at 7am. Message says "I have important information about your credit. Please call my direct line at 925-948-9949." Called and asked to be removed from their list. They've called twice since then. I consider this major harassment. This is because I was trying to get information about an FHA loan and stupidly put my phone number in the request because I thought it was the FHA government website. It was a .com rather than a .gov, though. I should have paid better attention.
