This number is a scam. The IRS would not conduct business in this type of manner nor would they have someone who barely speaks english. They will not arrest you as the you would be mailing you documentation and go through the courts.
I received a call that my minor daughter was being investigated by the US Treasury. The male barely spoke English and told me to call this number back. When I did and chewed out another male that couldn't speak English, he quickly said that the call for my daughter was a mistake and hung up.
I just got a call from a man with a thick Indian accent telling me that I was being investigated by the US Treasury and to call Chris Evans, the officer handling my case. The Indian man claimed to be a paralegal. Please tell me this was some kind of horrible prank.
