Received a call from "unknown" who left a voicemail. "LPS" is a legal courier services (so she said), who told me I have two hours to call the "original" company back @ 213-394-2605. She said that they attempted to serve me papers but the person refused. I've been getting these calls that stated I was being served in 7 days, 48 hours and the same day. I am waiting. I work in a government building and the AG's office is below us. I am wondering how they will make it to me. I'm still waiting my two hours will be up at 1:05pm today. I blocked my number and called the 213# and received a voicemail that said "Loss mitigation dept." and asked me to leave my contact info for a return call. They gave a docket number but in my state our numbers do not look like that. I checked our civil and criminal court records online site and nothing in my name is there. So I can assume it is a scam.
Yes it is a scam. LPS has a long history on 800notes of engaging in all sorts of debt scamming schemes. They are most likely located in Southern California.
Exact same message that Olivia received but it was left on my cell phone for my husband, who has been deceased over 8 years. Definitely a scam. Um, ya think?!
