Called after working with McAfee on an upgrade problem. The message left on the answering machine was unintelligible. Had a follow-up email from McAfee with info on the service call (quoting the number I had from the Internet Chat), so may answer that but not by phone.
I was trying to contact McAfee, by chat, and a pop up with there logo appeared and this person
said they were tec support and asked problem. Told them and they needed excess to my computeer.
I gave them excess thinking they were McAfee then had second thoughts, asked them to hang
up and call back and they said they couldn't, I shut my computer off. They called back, asked them
why it said Southerkand Grp and they said they were assoicated with McAfee. Had me convinced and
I turned my computer back onm after a few minutes of watching what they were doing I shut my computer
off again and dialed McAfee's 1-800 number, They asked questions and made sure I was a MCaFee
Customer. They worked on my computer and kept me informed all the time. While I was on the phone
with them, Southerkland tried to call 5 times. BEWARE they are not assoicated with McAfee. Called again today, told them to stop calling that McAfee said they were not assoicated with them.

Follow up - the person had both my phone # and the correct service number for my chat session with a tech from McAfee. I also received an email from them and its source indicated that it was coming from Tier2 Support at McAfee via SoutherlanGroup.com. They are probably an outsource provider for McAfee user support followup calls and may also provide the actual support. I replied to the email to let them know the problem was resolved. Could not understand the caller on the phone, so this seemed a better way to communicate.
