SMS message from this number concerning care-giver services and offer of check for advance payment and purchase of medical supplies is a scam. Do not accept any check (it's phony) and do not send any money via Western Union or other money order for supplies and/or property rental services.
I received a text message from this number on 8/9/15. The gentleman said his name was Larry Law and was looking for care for his Mother. I replied back to the text in email and said that I was interested. On 8/10/15, the emails continued asking for my information from me so "Larry" could send me a check to pre-purchase medical supplies for his Mom($150), $400 for my services to purchase the items. The total amount was $2500 in a check and the rest of the money was supposed to be sent to a rental agency for an apartment near my home for his Mom. I disclosed some of my personal info but quickly became suspicious. I replied back that all further contact be made through Care.com.
Of course they did not reply back and now they have my personal info!!!
The offer was very generous, they were very detailed with the care of their Mom and thrut English appeared to be broken.
I now see that I am not the only one this has happened to. They obtained my information for Care.com.
