Also just got a call from this number claiming to be the IRS "Filing a lawsuit". The reports here of the same thing today. Sounds like a textbook scam.
Have received MULTIPLE calls from this number, shown on CID as: "Wireless Caller". Recorded message states that it is the final notice from the IRS, in regard to a lawsuit that they are filing against us! Yeah, right, some scammer thinks that the public is going to believe that the IRS uses a cell phone to call people??? Plus, IF someone were actually being sued, they obviously would receive paperwork, via Certified Mail, and most likely from a law firm! Just hoping that this caller does NOT end up taking advantage of any mentally challenged, elderly, or young and naive people. It's always best NOT to answer calls from a number that is not recognized; but we also know that many people don't have CID, and they just always answer their phones. Such a shame that these scammers even exist, and apparently there is little that can be done to stop them.
