I received a phone call from this phone number stating I was notified by mail 3 times regarding an IRS tax problem with my 2012 return. I told the gentleman "David Cooper" I have not received any notification by mail. He insisted 3 notices where sent and that I have ignored them, the police will be coming to my home or work to arrest me due to me ignoring this matter and he will not send me any paper notices now and to retain an attorney. I choose to call the IRS directly to see if there is a pending matter..
I received a called just now from Adam Walker stating that he was calling from the US Treasury Department and was calling to inform me that there is a legal procedure against my name and needed my attorney's information in order to stop the procedure immediately other wise the US Treasury Department would proceed to take action. I asked what he was talking about and he said, "oh, you're not aware?" He gave me his supervisors name, Brian King and phone number 213-457-3672 and insisted that I had to speak with him immediately. I then had him reiterate the purpose of the call so he said he was going to transfer me to his supervisor. He then press a key on the phone to sound like he had put me on hold so I was like "hello?" and he gets back on the line saying that he wasn't able to transfer me because his supervisor was in a meeting. As I was writing his information we were disconnected due to my phone not fully charge. The man had a British/Indian accent. I smell scam.
