Conspiracy theories my a#@#@.
What makes you think you have a right to call and disturb private citizens with this crap?
If you want opinions why not pay people locally that want to participate?
My private phone number is not for your use !!
My time is too valuable to be wasted !!
Advised I was selected to participate in a survey if I was currently on a cell phone. Said he was with the CDC and that I would receive a $10 gift card for participation. So he ran his speach and then asked if I was currently talking on a cell phone. Told him not interested and hung up.
This number has shown on my land line a few times in the early evening. No message left. I've not made a call to verify the caller or purpose for the call originally though suspected solicitors. I appreciate finding the two messages above; thanks Steve and Eric. I'll dismiss the call from this point forward.
Stop with your conspiracy theories. You guys have too much time on your hands! The call is for the National Adult Tobacco Survey (NATS) from CDC’s Office on Smoking and Health, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP).
The NATS will be a one-time, stratified, random-digit dialed telephone survey of non-institutionalized adults 18 years of age and older.
In order to yield results that are representative and comparable at both national and state levels, information will be collected from approximately 1,863 land-line telephone users in each state and the District of Columbia. In addition, a total of approximately 3,000 interviews will be conducted from a national sample of cell phone users to include the growing population of households that rely exclusively on cell phones.

They keep calling every day or every other day. These people do not have the decency or common sense to realize that not everyone works the normal daytime hours. Even if they are legitimately doing a survey from the CDC, I see no reason why they have the right to contact me. I am on the no call list, but must be it really means nothing in the end. I even filed a complaint with the FCC when this all started. It would seem if they try a number a couple of times they or the computer would get a clue and move on to someone else who is not on the no call list.
