Got a call from this number too. Los Angeles, CA. Didn't leave a message. Haven't gotten any calls in a while. Got one from Pontiac, MI yesterday and now this number today. Scammers must be in full force for the holidays.
Who are these people? And how is it that when I call them back I get a recording saying the number can't be reached? they JUST called me! They must still be there.
The people who called you did not call from 213-514-9154 – they just faked their caller ID to show that number... so you couldn't call them back (and so law enforcement agencies can't track them down).
Calls using bogus ID (numbers belonging to others or fabricated) is "spoofing" and is prohibited by law. File a complaint with the FCC @ http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing
Contact your Congressman, Senators and request that service providers be held accountable for providing crooks telecommunications network access to scam and harass citizens. Service providers need to be involved in tracking the crooks using them for internet access.
Receiving numerous calls from this number and they don't leave a message. I had it today & called this # back and some foreigner answered the phone saying there is a lawsuit pending against me at an email address that I don't even know and I told him this is a scam and they better stop calling me. As I was saying this the guy hung up. SCAM!!!
