You should have told him *you* were recording the call. That would have shut him up very quickly! (Especially considering the various laws he broke by refusing to give you his address and threatening you with a lawsuit like that.)
I received a call from Kevin Smith who said he is with Risk Recovery in Los Angeles. When I asked for his physical address he refused to give it. He said that the call was being recorded. He said I owed a debt from 2010 and demanded payment of $510 or I would be served papers. When I asked for a written copy of the contract and/or invoice and formal notification in writing, he told me to refer to my emails from back in 2010. When I refused to pay the debt, he said I was going to be served papers.

I received a call from this number and when I called the number back the guy answered the phone " Kevin smith how can I help you" I asked what company he worked for and he refused to tell me. He said he represented various companies and unless I told him my information he couldn't help me. I asked again for the name of the company and he said I was being abrasive and he did not feel comfortable telling me that information. I'm guessing It is a scam!!
