You just put in any number you want and the caller ID will show that number. PI Siedow writes that she could get the SSN legally. Only partly true. There are 5 specific reasons to obtain SSN. If she doesn't have one of those reason, she is not allowed to get it. But PI's, like Siedow get them all the time, plus if she is trying to locate you, getting you to verify information she already has will confirm you location. So, was she the one who called? If you check her out, you will never see how she got her experience or what is her training or education. She does not mention them. If she had a background that was significant she would likely post it. When you have no records that qualifies you, people skip this information. She lists her business address, but it is a mail drop. Since this location is a UPS store, the Postal Regulations require her to write PMB before the box number. She doesn't. It is common for those are trying to look like they have an physical business address to leave this out. She works out of her apartment or condo. So we know one thing about her - she is violating Postal Regulations, a minor offense. It may be not be a big thing. She creates a bunch of different websites and business names. Sound suspicious to me. But may be she just likes too do these things and thinks it will make her money. After all it could be some one else making the calls. Who knows. She may be straight up or not. No one will know at this point. The bottom line is just don't give out any information over the phone unless you know who your are talking to....
