I am soo angry to find out I've been scammed. I was tricked into paying this guy $572 via Money Pak, when he wanted to be payed that way I was skeptical, but he made it sound like if I didn't pay by the end of the day then I'd have legal action taken against me. I feel soo stupid now, that came out of our vacation fund. Now the same guy is calling on a different number and using another name saying I have another debt attached to my social security number, I've ignored his calls so far, but he calls at least 10 times a day and has called my place of work looking for me!!!! Now that I'm armed with how the law works, I plan to return his call Monday morning and ask for proof in writing, which I'm sure I'll never get. What really irks me is from what I understand there is no way to get my money back since I stupidly paid with Money Pak. Another thing is this guys accent is so thick that you can only understand 1/4 of what he says, I think it's intentional because he's quite easy to understand when he tells you how much he wants and taking legal action if you don't pay!!
I have been getting calls from this number at least 40 to 50 times a day on my job I had to get security to put a block on that number but after a while they call again from a different number
I am not paying them anything because its a scam be careful I have been had many times person

I received a call this morning from the same number they stated they were calling from the State's Attorney General's office and that i was teh target of a fraud and would be charger accordingly. when i asked what the name of the AG is he gave me the wron name for the California Ag. I told him he was committing the fraud he did have my correct SS # and where i work that's what's scarry. I have since closed my bank accounts and oppened differents ones. got to stay on your toes!
I received a number from 213-537-6374 and responded with a voice message that they had the wrong number and that they should remove my number from their database. I received another call from the same representative who accused me of lying and insisted that he had the correct number (all the while wasting my daytime minutes). I had to hang up on him. So much for being nice. I have since left another message stating that I am not the person they seek and that they should remove my number and stop the harassing phone calls. I hope that did it.
Person named "Johnny" said he was from AG and that I was being filed against! What a joke! I told him I knew he was a scammer and not to call again! I will report him to FTC as well!
